Working as a consultant I led the global product strategy for royal warrant holder Brintons. Making the highest quality bespoke carpets and rugs for prestigious interiors since 1783. Telling Brintons extraordinary story of provenance, heritage, artistry and craftsmanship.


Introduced a new product development process, increased global cohesion on projects and focus on ROI. Commercial and residential routes to market. Launched an innovative product range aimed at a new sector – Healthcare. Other new products coming soon.


Also a wide ranging communications role which included the development various literature including a new consumer brochure, videos, and several on-line projects.

A beautiful new residential brochure for Brintons, featuring dozens of new designs including the one above from Timorous Beasties.


I lead the agency selection and appointment of Brown Dog for the creative and was involved throughout the project. And, if you really squint, you can spot my cameo on page 2.

Mira Showers

Senior Product Marketing Manager: 2002 to 2013

I ran the electric showers category, which has over 50% market share, with full accountability for the P&L, and the long-term financial, strategic and product plans.


Managing the full marketing mix, I got most excited about new product development, category management, and creative communication. I specified new products based on deep qualitative and quantitative research, and worked with large cross functional teams to drive projects.


I worked collaboratively with customers to ensure new products fitted and helped drive transactional values. And, working with the communications and design team, raised the profile of products new and old.  Customers included; Argos, B&Q and Homebase as well as trade merchants, local authorities, housing associations and major house builders.

TNS Media Intelligence

Account Manager: 2001 to 2002

Account Manager for clients including; The AA, British Gas, The Co-op, and the Central Office of Information. This role combined media analysis, sales, new business development and project management.


We monitored and analysed media of every format to keep our clients fully informed ahead of their competition, and to enable them to make their best response to emerging stories. A critical support role in managing a media crisis.
